The Zihuatanejo International Guitar Festival is proud to announce that they have invited renowned classical guitarist and teacher, Arnaldo Freire, along with a select group of musicians and teachers from Gaoiania, Goias, Brazil, to Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo from January 21 – 30, 2013 to offer a series of workshops and concerts.

Children´s Guitar Workshop

Monday, January 21 – Monday January 28: 4 – 6 pm

For Children ages 6 – 16. Every child needs to have their own acoustic guitar

Guitar Workshop for Adults / Guitar Teachers

Monday, January 21 – Monday January 30: 10 am – 12 pm

For Adults with previous guitar experience, interest in improving their technique or guitar teachers. Every student needs to bring their own acoustic guitar.  Limited to the first 20 students.

Cost: $300 pesos

During the Rhythms of Brazil week we will be offering a series of Brazilian music concerts

by our invited guest and recitals by the children and adults in the workshops.

 

–Friday January 25

The Músic of Brasil, a rousing presentation by our invited guests.

Recitals of the Children`s Guitar Workshop,

The Music of Brazil, a beach carnival concert by our invited guests

Closing Concert, a presentation by the Children and the workshop participants. .
