The blue water has moved in to just off the beach and the gamefish came in with the water.

We are getting outstanding light line action on the small game at the White Rocks, the Solitary Rock, and around Ixtapa Island. It is not unusual, when fishing with live bait, to get five or six different species in one morning. School size yellowfin tuna to 20 pounds, chulas (a small white meated tuna of about 5 pounds), sierras (Spanish Mackerel), jurel (jack cravalle), dorado (mahi-mahi), rainbow runners, and wahoo are all breezing through on the anchored or drifting boats.

The offshore fishing is outstanding now that the water has cooled down a little. Besides excellent action for the sailfish, the cooler water has brought in the blue marlin and giant yellowfin tuna. The sailfish can be caught anywhere from just outside the bay to as far out as you want to go. The giant yellowfin and blue marlin are generally out about 20 to 25 miles.
